New Master Gardeners
Master Gardener certification
requirements are 40 volunteer hours for first-time master gardeners (interns).
Individuals are responsible for tracking and updating their volunteer
hours.
You can keep track of your
volunteer hours using this Log
Form in PDF format. Hours can also be filled in online by clicking
here. Help with reporting your volunteer hours online is available here.
Recertification
Yearly
recertification requirements are 25 volunteer hours and including 12 hours of
continuing education. Volunteer hours can be counted from January through
December any given calendar year for re-certification. If master gardeners
volunteer more than 25 hours during the year, those hours cannot be accumulated
and rolled over to the next year.
If a speaker is featured at our HCMG meetings, their
presentations count as one hour towards continuing education hours. Educational
seminars, conferences, workshops and lectures all fulfill continuing education
hours.

All information for
2008 should be turned in as soon as requirements are complete, and no later than
