The Master Gardener Program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested gardeners who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities for Tennessee residents through their local UT Extension county office.

Working with Hardeman County Extension personnel, Master Gardeners provide such educational services to their communities as: answering gardening questions from the public; conducting plant clinics; gardening activities with children, senior citizens, or disabled persons; beautifying the community; developing community or demonstration gardens; and other horticultural activities.

Hardeman County Master Gardeners are friends and neighbors from your community... business professionals, teachers, nursery owners, farmers and housewives.  Please consider joining us.

The Master Gardeners of Hardeman County Tennessee

Our members are avid gardeners who've taken an active interest in growing a more beautiful community.  While we take pride in our own lawns, shrubs, trees, flowers and vegetable gardens, we're also committed to sharing our knowledge with others within Hardeman County. After completing special training in horticulture from the University of Tennessee Cooperative Extension Office, our members contribute their time to benefit the community.  We plant and maintain community garden beds, provide speakers for various local functions and conduct how-to workshops.
